Head Unit Intallation

Installation of the head unit can be as simple as a couple of release pins to a more complex dismantle of the dash. Secure connections and awareness of wires path and a wire harness interface, which would eliminate splicing the factory wires is essential to a reliable installation. The plug colors and arrangements will differ from each manufacture, refer to the owners manual for the proper codes.

12 Volt Constant

Wire connected to a 12 volt source that has current at all times for memory, the clock for instance

12 Volt Switched

Wire connected to a 12 volt source that has current only when the ignition is on.

Remote Lead

Wire will supply current to an accessory when the head unit is on, an amplifier for instance.
